![]() It can be used to make the Portable Oxygenator, which could allow you to get a permanent source of Oxygen when combined with certain power sources. This is one of the rarest resources in Astroneer. You must then combine your Steel with Titanium Alloy and Helium to create Nanocarbon Alloy. When you have all three ingredients, you can make Steel in the Chemistry Lab. Carbon can be made by smelting Organic in a Smelting Furnace, so that is the easiest ingredient on this list.Īrgon is a gas that can be found on Vesania or Glacio, so set an Atmospheric Condenser up just as you did before. You can find Iron using our full Iron guide here. You can find the full ingredient list for Steel below: Steel is equally tricky to obtain, as it requires a lot of resources that you won't find naturally on planets in Astroneer. Then, use the Condenser to make a canister of Helium, which you can transport back to a safer planet to finish making the Nanocarbon Alloy. To get Helium, you need to set up a working base with an Atmospheric Condenser on Atrox. It can be used to make the Large Shuttle, as well as the Nanocarbon Alloy, which we will explain below. Once you have Titanium, Nitrogen, and Graphene, you can make a Titanium Alloy. Ammonium can also be made in the Soil Centrifuge, but you will need to find Hydrogen using the Atmospheric Condenser on one of the following planets: Hydrazine is a bit more complex, as you must create it by mixing Ammonium and Hydrogen in the Chemistry Lab. Graphite can be made easily in the Soil Centrifuge. Graphene is a resource that you can create in the Chemistry Lab by mixing Graphite and Hydrazine. Since Atrox is the most dangerous planet in Astroneer, we'd recommend staying on either Sylva or Vesania whilst retrieving Nitrogen. Nitrogen is a gas that you can obtain by using the Atmospheric Condenser on one of the following planets: You can smelt Titanite to create Titanium. The Auto Arm was shown off on many SES Dev Twitch streams.Titanium is found as the raw material Titanite in the mountains on Vesania, or within caves on Glacio. The Auto Arm can extend upwards to reach high-up slots, but this upwards range is not infinite. The arm will place items on the player's backpack and Terrain Tool. The arm cannot place items into another arm's filter slot. The arm does not pull items directly from other arms or from an arm's filter slot. The arm does not pull items from the Astroneer's backpack. There are only a few exceptions to this functionality: The Auto Arm can pick and place from/to nearly all tier 1 slots.Items from the Ingredient Plinth, Backpack Printer Plinth, and certain items from the Small Printer Plinth.Small Debris Pieces (Broken Tethers, Wind Turbines, Solar Panels, etc). Some interesting things the Arm can pick up include: The Auto Arm can pick up most, if not all, Tier 1 items (with very few exceptions). If underpowered, the Auto Arm's pick/place speed will be reduced. The Auto Arm can pick up and place down 17.5 items/minute (.292 items/second) while fully powered. The Auto Arm will consume power at all times, even when idle.If an item is placed in this slot, the Auto Arm will only pick up that item type. The slot in the center of the Arm is the filter slot.If no empty slot is available, the arm will hold the item until a slot frees up.Place the item in the open slot, then repeat the procedure.Search for an open slot in the Output area,.The Output area is marked by a blue circle. The Soil Centrifuge produces 2 Graphite with two full Canisters of Soil. Source Graphite can be found on all of the Planets. Climbing small or large mountains is a good place to look for this resource. Graphite appears in dark gray tubular clusters. The Input area is marked by a green circle. Graphite is a natural resource in Astroneer. The Arm's input/output areas can be viewed by hovering the cursor over the arm.Once powered, the arm can be toggled on and off either manually or using a sensor/repeater. In order to function, the Auto Arm must be placed on a Tier 2 slot supplied with power. The Auto Arm allows players to automate the moving and storage of items, working well with Medium and Large Resource Canisters.
